For 2018 – Taste from over 55 whiskies from these Distillers
Tip A Wee Dram was designed to raised money for cancer charities. The idea for the event came about as the founders and friends were sipping whisky one night, trying to decide how they might “give back” when asking people to donate to their “Ride to Conquer Cancer”.
Founded in 2010, the event has grown substantially over the years into what local whisky lovers consider to be Vancouver’s best springtime whisky festival. Tip A Wee Dram has provided a unique experience for nearly 2,000 whisky enthusiasts over the years.
Tip A Wee Dram is organized and presented entirely by more than 30 volunteers each year.
Restricted ticket sales reflect our desire to create a more intimate event for guests. The last nine years we sold out quickly.

THIS YEAR’S WHISKY SPONSORS
Callanish creates a healing space for people who have been irrevocably changed by cancer. It inspires those who are living and/or dying from cancer to reconnect with the essentials of life – and in doing so, to feel soothed, strengthened and restored. At the heart of Callanish is a weeklong retreat that provides a gentle catalyst for revitalizing the spirit. After more than 20 years and over 80 retreats, Callanish has evolved into a far-reaching community deeply rooted in the fundamentals of what it means to be human. Callanish receives no government funding and is completely dependent on the community it serves.
Here is a testimony by a woman who was 38 years of age at the time of this letter about Callanish and what the donations from Tip a Wee Dram mean:
“I don’t even know where to begin when trying to articulate how being a participant in a Callanish retreat has affected my life…. I needed a place where people would understand me, somewhere I could be with people who get what it’s like every day to live with fear and worry about the future.
Callanish is that place, not only myself, but for my four children. The ladies at Callanish are helping me to carve out a legacy for my children which will carry on beyond me. My babies and I go to Callanish as a safe, warm place to connect with each other and help them come to terms with my situation….
Your donations will not only carry me through this time but will give me comfort in knowing I have people to support my children when they need it the most.”
